Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about the program, what you need, shipping, returns, and getting help.

Getting started

What ages is the program designed for?

The program is designed for ages 8–16. Younger builders may benefit from having an adult nearby for the first projects, while older learners can usually work through the lessons independently.

Does my child need coding or electronics experience?

No prior experience is needed. The program starts with the basics and introduces wiring, components, and code step by step.

What is included with the program?

You receive the electronics kit and access to the guided online curriculum for 25 hands-on projects. The kit includes the controller board, breadboard, connecting wires, LEDs, sensors, displays, motors, and the other components used throughout the builds.

What kind of computer do we need?

You need a Windows PC or Mac with an internet connection and an available USB port. A phone or tablet can be useful for reading lessons, but it cannot replace the computer needed to upload code to the board.

Is the kit safe for children?

The projects use low-voltage electronics and are written for supervised home learning. Learners should follow each wiring diagram, disconnect power before changing a circuit, and keep small components away from young children. We recommend adult supervision, especially for younger builders.

The program

How does the program work?

The 25 projects build on one another, beginning with simple circuits and progressing to more advanced sensors, displays, motors, and a final RFID access project. Each lesson includes the concept, wiring guidance, code, and troubleshooting support. “Weekly” is a suggested pace, not a deadline.

Is this a subscription?

No. The program is a one-time purchase, not a recurring monthly subscription. The kit and curriculum are included together.

How much time should we allow each week?

A typical project session takes about 20–40 minutes, although some learners prefer to spend longer experimenting. The program is self-paced, so families can complete projects weekly or choose a schedule that works for them.

Orders & support

Where do you ship, and how long does delivery take?

We offer free worldwide shipping and dispatch orders on the next business day. Most orders arrive within an estimated 7–10 days after dispatch. Public holidays, customs clearance, peak periods, and carrier delays can affect that estimate.

How do I track my order, and will I pay customs fees?

We email tracking details after your order ships. You can also use our Track Your Order page with your order number and order email, or with your tracking number. Local authorities may charge import duties or taxes; when assessed, those charges are the recipient’s responsibility.

What if I need a refund or a part is missing?

You can request a full refund within 30 days of receiving your order, even if the kit has been opened and used. If a component arrives missing or damaged, email support@techbotics.academy with your order number and a photo when possible, and we will arrange a free replacement.

What technical support is available?

Email support@techbotics.academy with a photo of the circuit, the lesson or project number, and any error message you see. Our support team replies within one business day, Monday to Friday.
